The Mirror Program #4 "The 5 Pre's: 5 simple prefixes."
The Five Prefixes.
#1. Premeditate.
We must premeditate our shopping trip.
Think about your week and what will be the best day to cook?
Keeping in mind when and what time you work.
And when you will have time to clean up.
Cooking and eating more perishable foods first. And cooking food that lasts longer later in the week.
Try not to overspend and throw food away.
#2. Preplan.
Plan what to do when you make your shopping list.
Why is planning your shopping list so important?
Planning is an easier way of doing the same thing. Being organized helps a lot.
Avoid impulse buying. Impulse shopping is usually what the store wants you to buy. It can be budget unfriendly.
Try to always stick to your budget and shopping list.
Prepare to cook multiple dishes.
Using leftovers creatively.
When will you eat your meals made with leftovers.
Cook to save time and money.
Cook meals for the next one or two days.
Being budget aware is not being broke. But about not wasting money for no reason. Saving money will be a part of your new lifestyle.
#3 Predict.
Visualize and know what your plates are going to look like before you go shopping.
See in your mind the finished results of your shopping before you shop.
When you shop. Try to think about what you are going to cook first and the ingredients you will need to make dishes all week.
Keeping in mind plate portion balance.
#4 Prepare.
Cooking the food you buy.
Everything leads up to this point. Where we will spend a lot of time cooking.
Cooking healthy low or no salt dishes.
Learning other ways to season your food.
Practicing easy and quick cooking methods.
#5 prewash.
Always wash food correctly according to the instructions depending on what the food is.
Always follow safe and clean practices.
