The Mirror Program #2:
7 Healthy Suggestions

Here are 7 suggestions to get us started.


Suggestion #1. Eating Healthy Food

  • Making healthier food choice decisions.

  • Building better eating habits.

  • Learning from each other how to save time and money when shopping, cooking and eating.

  • Do we need to eat more fruits and vegetables?

  • We will learn about why dietary fiber is important.

  • How often do we cook at home?

A high percentage of us have been eating bad or can do better.

And have been ignoring what's in the food we eat for a long time.


We will give suggestions on how to help with:

Suggestion #2. Cutting out unhealthy food.

  • We have a problem with eating unhealthy snacks and food.

  • Being aware if it's during the day or too late at night.

The Mirror Program is designed to remind you not to eat unhealthy food.

Consistently eat healthy and stay accountable to yourself.

You'll be amazed at how much correcting this will help. 


We will learn about:

 Suggestion #3. Eating proper portions of food daily.

  • Healthier food comes in the form of fruits and vegetables.

  • We will learn that if one portion has salt, pick a portion that doesn't have salt to go with it. Cutting back food that is high in sodium sugar and other ingredients that need to be controlled.

  • We will have suggestions on proper plate portion balancing.


We also must:

Suggestion #4. Cut down on and control our salt and sugar intake.

Start with nothing in excess and all things in moderation. 

  • We will learn to cook tasty dishes with either no salt or sugar or lower the amount of salt and sugar we use.

  • Avoid processed foods.

  • And to avoid other bad additives and ingredients.

  • We will learn to be a label reader.

  • And to use healthy cooking oils, spices and ingredients.

  • Find healthy substitutes that match your mirror and what you like.

Everyone can't have the same thing. Find what matches you.

There's a lot of different salts and sugars out there. I strongly suggest that you Google salt 101 and sugar 101 to study and see what fits you.


And it helps when you:

Suggestion #5. Drink enough water.

  • How much is enough water? Is one of our discussion topics.

  • It's important to stay hydrated to stay healthy.

 We give tips on ways to drink water with healthy flavors.


We will talk about:

Suggestion #6. Getting enough exercise.

  • Everyone has different ways they can exercise.

  •  And there are different things that each person can do and can't do anymore.

  • Find the exercise that fits you your age and health.

But you still need to exercise. It's. important. We will discuss this later. 


Finally doing the neglected things 

Suggestion #7. Checking your blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol levels and all other levels that apply. 

This is important. More information is coming.

The last three are on you. We can only make suggestions.

It's a part of taking care of ourselves and our future.

 Reminder.

Eating well is more than just about weight management. It's about nourishing the body, maintaining energy levels and preventing chronic diseases. Poor dietary choices contribute to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and other serious health issues.
